What is a Quote and how do I create one?

The Create a Quote feature is a payment method that allows you to create and print a quotation of your order, which you can share with your school for approval or to receive a Purchase Order (PO).

To create a quote, add items to your Shopping Cart. Once your Shopping Cart contains the items you would like a quote for, begin the checkout process by clicking the Shopping Cart icon in the upper right-hand corner. Follow the checkout process prompts.

Please note, you will need to click Checkout or Create Quote. This is the first step to creating your quote. You follow the same steps as processing your order to ensure your quote has the correct name, shipping address, billing address and final total (including taxes and shipping & handling).

When you reach the Payment section, click the Create Quote option under Payment Methods. Review the Quote/Order Information pop-up message and click Close. Then click Submit Quote at the bottom of the summary. You will then see a Quote Confirmation page and you can now print the quote. You can also find the quote in the My Quotes and Orders section under My Account.

Please note that if you wish to redeem any Bonus Bank Rewards (BBR) on your order, they will need to be applied at the time of quote creation. Unfortunately, BBR cannot be added when converting a quote to an order. If the Bonus Bank Rewards (BBR) amount applied during creation is no longer sufficient at the time of order conversion, the BBR will be removed from your order. You can proceed with other available payment methods.

You can view, edit, delete, and convert the quote to an order in the My Quotes and Order section under My Account.

Pricing on Quotes is valid for 30 days from the date you generate it.

Quotes do not hold stock. If an item on your quotes goes to OSI (Out of Stock Indefinitely) status, it will be removed when the order is converted.

Quotes do expire after 30 days. You will be able to see expired Quotes in the My Quotes and Order section under My Account. You can edit an expired Quote, which will reactivate it for 30 days from the date of reactivation. Please note, if you reactivate an expired Quote, any price changes will be reflected on the reactivated quote and if any items have become unavailable, they will be removed from the reactivated quote.

Reading Level: GRL: F&P

During the school year, your child may be assessed by their teacher and be asked to read from a benchmark book (one considered standard for the grade). Kids may also be asked to answer questions about the text or retell the story. Their teacher will help determine a suitable Guided Reading Level (GRL) and books for your child. One system used to determine GRL is called Fountas & Pinnell (F&P) and these levels run from A to Z, with A being the easiest. Your child will gradually move step by step into more difficult text.

Reading Level: GRL: DRA

Another system used to determine GRL is called DRA, which stands for "Developmental Reading Assessment" (DRA). Like F&P, at the beginning of the school year your child will read a benchmark book to the teacher and then retell the story. This system starts with level A, for the easiest books, and then switches to numeric levels, running from 1 to 80.

Canadian

If you see an item referred to as Canadian, that means it was made and manufactured in Canada or adapted to meet Canadian curriculum expectations.
