RISE UP

Scholastic RISE and RISE UP are short-tem intervention that provides targeted, small-group instruction in reading comprehension, word study and phonics, and guided reading. Based in Jan Richardson's The Next Step Forward in Guided Reading, the RISE framework offers daily instruction for students who are reading six to 36 months below grade-level benchmarks.

This intervention resource provides a highly scaffolded instructional model where students can immediately apply skills learned in RISE and RISE UP into classroom practice. After six to eight weeks of targeted interventions, students will begin to gain the confidence, proficiency, and skills they need to excel as readers and work towards meeting grade-level expectations
