Children of Métis descent share and explore different ways to celebrate their heritage: by tasting traditional foods like bannock and saskatoon berries, practicing beadwork, telling stories, dancing, playing music, and singing. Each child shares a way of honouring their origins and weaving elements into the rich tapestry of Métis culture. One of the children, however, grew up disconnected from their history and cannot share their experience... But it is never too late to learn, celebrate, or be part of a community where Métis and non-Métis alike can discover the richness of an often-overlooked culture.
